Heart-shaped Cinnamon Rolls

As it starts raining, cinnamon rolls can be the perfect thing to keep you warm. These pink, heart-shaped cinnamon rolls are fluffy, cinnamony, and sweet, keeping you spirited around Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients:
Dough
- ¾ cup milk 
- ¼ oz. active dry yeast 
- ¼ cup cane sugar 
- 1 egg and 1 egg yolk 
- ¼ cup melted salted butter 
- 3 cups all purpose flour 
- Pinch of salt 
Filling
- ⅔ cup dark brown sugar 
- 2 tbsp. cinnamon 
- ¼ cup soft butter 
Frosting
- 4 oz. whipped cream cheese 
- 3 tbsp. butter 
- ¾ cup powdered sugar 
- ½ tsp vanilla extract 
- Pink sprinkles 
- Red food coloring 
Instructions:
Dough
- Put milk in microwave for 40 seconds 
- Mix milk and yeast 
- Add sugar, eggs, and butter, mix until well combined 
- Sift in flour and salt until dough forms 
- Put dough in a oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap and towel, let it rise for one hour 
Filling
- Transfer to floured surface and roll out into a rectangle 
- Spread butter all over the dough 
- Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon 
- Sprinkle on to dough and make sure it’s evenly spread 
- Roll up dough and cut into one inch sections with floss (To make heart shape: Unroll it half way, roll the unrolled half towards the still rolled half so you have two circles, pinch the bottom to make a heart shape) 
- Put into an oiled pan and cover it with plastic wrap, letting it rise for an hour 
- Preheat oven to 330 degrees 
- Bake cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes, until slightly brown on the edges 
Frosting
- Combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract 
- Add in sprinkles and one drop of food coloring 
- Once the cinnamon rolls have cooled, spread
