Leadership profiles for the 2026-2027 school year

‘27 Class President: Nikhil Hunn

Junior Nikhil Hunn has served as class president for the past three years and looks forward to continuing his role for his senior year.

“I think [being class president] has been one of the best things that's happened to me,” Hunn said. “It's helped me grow in a lot of ways...I think that the biggest draw for me is always about giving back to the school and building deeper relationships with people in my grades.”

Looking ahead, Hunn hopes to continue to build deeper relationships with his classmates and create a sense of community within his class.

“My biggest goal is to make sure that every student in my grade is able to walk out of high school and feel like they were a part of the Acalanes community and that they really enjoy their time here...,” Hunn said. “I also want to work on just really having deeper conversations with people about what they want to see in our last few months together and how we can change things to bring us closer together.”

‘27 Class Treasurer: Grace Colaco

Junior Grace Colaco has been part of leadership since her frosh year, when she was part of the Publicity board. As a sophomore, she served on Student Life before being elected as a junior class officer for this school year. Colaco wanted to continue her work as the class of 2027's treasurer for her Senior year.

“I ran for my position because I loved the work I did last year as junior class treasurer, and I really wanted to continue to try and make an impact on our campus and work to make it a fun senior year,” Colaco said.

As class officer, it is Colaco’s responsibility to help come up with events for their class and publicise them with the goal of contributing to a positive and welcoming Acalanes environment.

“Leadership has a huge impact on Acalanes because we work hard to get everyone to want to come to school and have fun,” Colaco said. “We do this through making events so that everyone has something fun to do during the school day and also making sure everyone has someone to eat lunch with or just talk to in the halls or in classes.”

‘27 Class Secretary: Grace Eppinger

Junior Grace Eppinger has been doing leadership for multiple years and is prepared to take on the role and responsibilities of class secretary for her senior year.

“I've been doing it for the last couple of years, and we do class cup and organize prom and homecoming skits and hallways and bonding the grade,” Eppinger said.

Eppinger ran for a class officer role to help her fellow students make the most of their time at Acalanes.

“I ran for this position because I love our grade and we only have four years in high school, so I wanted to make the most of it, and I thought the best way was to be as involved as I could,” Eppinger said.

For her last year in high school, Eppinger strives to be someone people can turn to for support as well as encouragement.

“I want to be the person who pushes people to experience their last months as a kid before college... and maybe put themselves out there and participate in events,” Eppinger said.

‘28 Class President: Jack Roberts

Sophomore Jack Roberts will return as class president for his junior year and hopes to continue using his role to promote inclusivity.

“I really want to focus on inclusivity, so I think that’s something the president has the ability to do, so I see this position as a way to actually make change in our grade...I want to bring all corners of our school together,” Roberts said.

For Roberts, making a positive impact on his grade through his leadership has been a rewarding aspect of being class president.

“It’s been really fun seeing what my work can do, putting smiles on people's faces in my grade,” Roberts said. “That’s kind of why I joined, I just wanted to make an impact, and I wanted to put my creative outlet into our campus.”

‘28 Class Secretary: Sadie Moise

Sophomore Sadie Moise has been a member of the Leadership team for the past two years, serving on the Publicity board, where she focused on marketing initiatives around campus. Now, she is looking to expand her leadership role by serving as a class officer.

“I think being a class officer is a really important role in our campus community, and I’m excited to deepen our relationships and memories as a class,” Moise said. “Secretary is a good fit for me as I pride myself on my organizational abilities, reliability, and commitment to our class and the work I put out.”

As a class secretary, Moise will take on various responsibilities to ensure a successful year for the class of 2028.

“My shared responsibilities as a junior class officer are to work with all of the other class officers and my class specifically for homecoming hallways, skits, and other festivities,” Moise said. “Later in the second semester, we take on the Color Run and prom, which I’m really excited to work on...as secretary, specifically, I am tasked with the organizational aspects of our work and making sure our class stays informed and aware of all upcoming events.”

‘28 Class Treasurer: Ellie Harris

As the current Tech board head and a second-time leadership student, Ellie Harris feels ready to take on the position of junior class treasurer.

“I chose this position as I feel with my experience within leadership and my connections to other class officers that I could take on the job,” Harris said. “Having the free time needed to support my class and the ambition to do it right, I think this upcoming year will be great.”

Harris is preparing for next year by setting goals for herself and her board.

“I plan to represent the interests of my class by taking the feedback,” Harris said. “If they want something, I'll bring their voice into the officer group, and we’ll all talk about it. Everyone's voice should be heard.”

‘29 Class President: Mason Ross

As the current Frosh Class President, Mason Ross believes the sophomore class president is a fitting role due to his current experience and passion for leadership.

“I felt like it would be a good fit for me because I've served in this role and I really like leading other people and seeking action and helping the community,” Ross said.

Ross hopes to use his position to encourage more students to stay involved on campus and contribute to the school community.

“I want to encourage everybody to be a leader at our school, even if you're not in leadership, just giving your time to our school, always showing up for events, and being a good student and just being a great friend to everybody,” Ross said.

‘29 Class Treasurer: Tyler Anderson

Frosh Tyler Anderson has had a rewarding time in leadership and is ready for another year.

“I first joined leadership in eighth grade at Stanley, and I loved the feeling of being able to take the advice and ideas of my peers and make their school experience more involved,” Anderson said.

Anderson is prepared to work with his peers, as well as his teachers, to make next year a successful sophomore year for the class of 2029.

“Class Treasurer is a very collaborative position, working heavily with other officers to make our year full of fun events and activities,” Anderson said. “Personally, I manage our class bank account in partnership with [Activities Director Katherine Walton] and keep track of all spending and profit.”

‘29 Class Secretary: Avery Stoneman

As the current Frosh Class Vice President, Avery Stoneman hopes to continue to contribute to leadership through her new role as class secretary next year.

“I went for class secretary because I really enjoyed being a class officer this year,” Stoneman said. “I really just wanted to stay involved in my class with homecoming and a bunch of other fun events.”

Stoneman’s role as class secretary includes taking on secretary-specific duties as well as continuing her role as a class officer. She hopes to make an impact in the upcoming school year.

“As class secretary, I am going to take meeting minutes, contact liaisons and parent helpers, and help with other class officer duties,” Stoneman said. “My goals are to be more connected as a class and to bond and meet new students.”
